The quality's low so colors and opacity are off, the green is supposed to be blue. Basically Blue note records was all about the collaboration of photography and type so that is what I tried to portray.

Good starts. If Blue Note is about a simple bond of type and photography, than the photography better rock. The top might have a chance with some extensive PS fine tuned filtering. But the bottom looks like crap internet images. Why not get a very high res image and make a 2 color halftone like it seems to be here? Looks more interesting thean the sepia tone of Armstrong. Does it have to be of a Blue Note artist? Some of their albums had photos of other things and art, yes?
