These are my final ideations. Not huge changes from the previous version, but I think I just need a few minor tweaks to get it right.

The quality's low so colors and opacity are off, the green is supposed to be blue. Basically Blue note records was all about the collaboration of photography and type so that is what I tried to portray.

here are my final poster with variation of colors. i will continue to play with the size and composition before printing it....but that's it for today. it's almost 9 hrs of works right now....can you believe that....(@_@)....feeling dizzy right now, but it's tight.

just another experiment

i've tried to use the same elements in my book but....they dont look as good. I'm wondering if I can print this on the metallic reflective paper i used for this experiment

I am 3/5 done with my final poster after 4 hrs. There shouldn't be any repeated animal with same posture. So that will make it more handcraft and outstanding. I enjoyed so much with experimenting and puzzling. I changed the background color to match my book's overall look.

I don't know if I've mentioned the reason behind why I used "animals" to build the words instead of others. The reason is because I recalled my childhood's memory, where I used to make animal figure into letter form and shape, so it's more personal to the artist (me). Since it's experimental, I think it's suitable.

Here's the latest version of my poster. I hand drew everything except for the type and scanned them in. I changed the page ornaments from a floral design to gears to tie it in closer to my theme. I wanted to convey a crude but clean look, a look that i associate with the industrial revolution. I also used more typefaces in the pile of text to add texture. I also changed the drawing of the man at the bottom right.



















Here I filled up the empty space around the "industrial revolution" part and added detail to the hand drawn elements.

Poster Ideations part 2- Gritchelle

The the last two are revised versions of my original design.

The shapes and overlapping colors in my layouts are taken from Nitsche's designs. He uses a lot of angular shapes and bold colors in his work.

i am leaning more towards the top one...it's my favorite and expresses the new way i feel about "experimental" after researching and reading for my book. should i explain? ask me and i will. i have to go watch Josh do the Dreamweaver tutorial now...peace out.
