The the last two are revised versions of my original design.

The shapes and overlapping colors in my layouts are taken from Nitsche's designs. He uses a lot of angular shapes and bold colors in his work.

hey josh, this two poster I'm working on, for both i don't know which one is better and for the color grids one i having problem with the text layout and the color of text. i think is hard to read "Experimental". for my second one i don't what to change.

i am leaning more towards the top one...it's my favorite and expresses the new way i feel about "experimental" after researching and reading for my book. should i explain? ask me and i will. i have to go watch Josh do the Dreamweaver tutorial now...peace out.

Here are two of my poster ideations. The poster is just promoting the book. I have some other ideas, but for the most part, I like the one with the 'Experimental Typography' in the middle and I want to expand on that one and tighten up the decor a lot. 

I brought the cropped letters over from the book and the borders as well. I think the use of white space works well in the second one and that is has a good balance. 

Here is the correct color...my bad.

new ideation for my poster ~ zhen

i would like to do something like this for my experimental typography. i wanted to make more personal and fun out of this...(^_^) something like "Experimental Typography is Cool/Tight"



I did one on the letter "E"...and it tooks me almost an hours...can you believe that....sigh....but i enjoyed it. I was thinking that in each letter, there will be only one animal that start with that letter (ie. the elephant is the only animal in this letter that start with "E") and the rest won't.

Although viewers may not realize right away, it's a little bonus to reward those who look at my poster closely enough. alright...better go back to work...(^_^)!
