  1. Excellent work on all of these, especially the first and third.

For the first, the effect has a quality of layered glass that is very compelling. The trick here will be to make sure that quality works when it is printed paper. You will definitely need to make a number of test color prints on the same printer and paper that the final will be printed on. Be a little more sensitive to the areas where the letters overlap the grid graphics, as they are a bit awkward in some places, particularly for the 'E', 'n' and 'L'.

The third poster, wow! Very nice. I am always telling you all to NOT distort type, but what you've done here works well. The curving type below gives the suggestion that the abstract forms above are flowering out of it. Very good. The little 'y' in bawdy is really stuck and just drives our eye into a stagnant place on the page. I would try moving the 'y' outside of the cluster, maybe to the right and down a little as if it is floating away? My only hesitation with this design is that I don't remember seeing anything like this in the book. Have you since added this kind of dynamic composition and/or elements to the book? If not, can you explain why and how this cover works with the design of the book?
