Yes, my question exactly. SVA has a lot of really sharp people there, particularly Steven Heller, who is not only a prodigious author and scholar of GD but a pretty down to earth and nice guy. ARe yu being facetious in the way that "hating" them is like saying "damn they're good". If so that can be a humorous way of stating that, but on the other hand it assumes that who can't or won't strive to be as passionate and engaged as they are, and that's kind of sad :(
Seeing these videos made me feel that I have such a long way to go. I think the students at SVA that have the privledge of having Steven Heller as an instructor are very lucky. I guess I was frustrated when I saw these videos when I was working on my own project. This series made me think and want to work harder.
